LIC said it is completing 70 years and as on March 31, 2026 the asset base stood at ₹59.03 lakh crore. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman receives a dividend cheque of ₹12,207 crore for FY 2025-26 from Life Insurance Corporation of India CEO and MD R. Doraiswamy, in New Delhi on Wednesday (July 29, 2026).
Taxpayers should still claim the TDS credit in their ITR even if it is missing from Form 26AS or AIS, say experts. The Income Tax Act protects deductees where tax has been deducted but not deposited by the deductor.
